Boil the Mahram canned beans (chickpeas, lentils, and pinto beans) for 20 minutes, then drain and add them to a pot. Add the soaked barley and rice to the pot. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Once the grains begin to soften, add the chopped herbs and turmeric. Let the Ash simmer until it thickens. Remove from heat and serve in a bowl. Garnish with plain whey, fried onions, and fried mint.
